Receiving radio airplay or being featured on TV isn’t just about exposure; they can also be valuable income streams as well. As a songwriter you’re entitled to royalties whenever your music is played on a UK radio station or broadcast on UK TV.
The amount of money Sentric Music can collect for you depends on several different things including on the station, audience share, time of day etc. Here are some example figures of what Sentric artists have received in the past:
Radio (Based on your average 3m30s song):
BBC Radio 1 - up to £65
BBC 6 Music - up to £11.70
BBC 1Xtra - up to £9.80
BBC Regional Stations - up to £4.60
BBC Asian Network – up to £13
TV:
BBC 1 - up to £145 per play
Channel 4 - up to £800 for being featured on Hollyoaks
Five TV - up to £1,300 for being featured on an ident
These royalties are available for every single artist who receives radio/TV exposure – regardless of if they’re unsigned, established or even just starting out. You don’t even need to know when and where you were played; Sentric liaise with PRS for Music to make sure our artists receive every single penny available for them.
As well as that, we make sure that your music is considered for TV exposure! See TV OPPORTUNITIES for more details.
