Performance royalties are generated every time your songs have done just that; been performed.
Performance royalties for live performances (or ‘gigs’ as we all secretly prefer to call them) make up nearly three quarters of the money Sentric Music regularly distributes to its songwriters and should be seen as an incredibly important income stream to any artist/writer; regardless of whether they're emerging or established.
As a songwriter you are entitled to a performance royalty for the vast majority of gigs you do and depending on various different factors (including size, attendance, ticket price etc.), can be worth anything from £5 upwards.
Here are some example figures of what Sentric artists have received in the past from their gigs:
Small Venues - anything up to £4 -£6 per gig (which in some cases can be backdated up to 12 months).
Barfly - Sentric artists have previously received upwards of £19 per gig
O2 Academy's - Sentric artists have previously received upwards of £32 per gig
Shepherds Bush Empire - (as an example of a mid-scale venue) - Sentric artists have previously received upwards of £392 per gig
Leeds/Reading Festival - (as an example of a festival) - Sentric artists have previously received upwards of £1,500 per gig
Sheffield Arena - (as an example of a large venue) - Sentric artists have previously received upwards of £1,600 per gig
Support slot for Muse – (as an example of a large performance) - Sentric artists have previously received upwards of £2,000 per gig
This money is generated for every single gig you play and it takes very little effort for you to give us the details we need to make the claims on your behalf; just a few details including setlist, date, venue name and postcode and we can begin collecting the royalties for you.
