 | | | The Riff Raff...The Riff Raff have had praise fired at them from every kudos-worthy Radio 1 DJ; Rob Da Bank threatened to eat his own ponytail if they weren't huge soon, Huw Stephens described the band as 'legends in the making' and Colin Murray noted them as digital kings and his personal favourites. Even Sir Paul McCartney has described one of their songs as 'beautifully melodious and definitely the new sound'. It's safe to say the Riff Raff are very media-savvy smart cookies amongst a tinful of bland biscuits. "All the recognition was humbling but it still wasn't bringing in enough money to support us. Sentric Music were recommended to us by numerous industry peeps and bands around us. After doing my homework on them, I saw the same blend of real life hard work and intelligent use of online content that we were working towards ourselves" (Alex, lead singer). After doing what they do best, Sentric Music presented The Riff Raff with a cheque worth over £1,500 from the Radio 1 airplay and live fees they had received over the past quarter. “Sentric Music are so on the ball that a lot of the time they have already answered the question I needed to ask before I was even aware of it forming in my mind. They're good people and the banter is always worth its weight in gold. They have chased royalties on our behalf across all the available sources like true Yorkshire terriers - leaving no stone unturned...the Riff Raff salute”. | | | |
| Carlis Star...Manchester's Carlis Star had only been together for several months before they got on board at Sentric. "After talking to one of the Sentric team I thought it sounded like a decent opportunity" (Christain D'Acuna, manager). After registering all their works via their online Sentric Music profile, the cash started rolling in; "Within six months Sentric had sent us over of £300 with very little input from ourselves". Sentric Music then successfully placed the band's debut single on a nationwide advert for De Montford University, netting the band over £2,000 in a one off fee. “We were thrilled when we found out Sentric had pulled this off. The exposure we received was great and to know we'll also be receiving yet more PRS/MCPS royalties from the advert is fantastic. I can't see a reason why you wouldn't sign up with Sentric Music”. | | | | | | | | | | | | | goFASTER>>...Scouse pop rockers goFASTER>> had been turning heads in Liverpool for a while, gaining fans and making the industry take notice with the barrage of shows they were playing, including some high profile dates with their city mates The Wombats. "We knew we must have had some decent royalties waiting for us from all the gigs we played but we tried to sign up to PRS/MCPS on three separate occasions and it wasn't the easiest thing to get our head around" (Rich, guitar & vox). After hearing about Sentric Music from another Liverpudlian band they took the plunge and within three distributions they had received over £1,300 in royalties. “Sentric Music have been great in getting us some vital touring funds and they've also managed to synch one of our tracks on American TV. I'd recommend anyone to sign up to Sentric Music; at the end of the day it's free to join and you can leave whenever you want so there is no risk, but why would you ever want to?”. |
